Leaders have to make a LOT of challenging decisions. Like what direction to move the company in, whether to keep an employee or let them go, whether to share bad news with stockholders, and many more. With volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) disrupting markets and business plans, leaders aren’t just facing complex problems, they are facing wicked ones. To thrive, leaders need to be masterful Decision-Makers!
Decision-making is more than just a process to follow. It is a complex process made up of different skills and impacted by an invisible force – your capacity for complex thinking. This program offers essential insights, frameworks, and tools needed to manage wicked problems and make decisions with positive outcomes. You will explore your current and emerging capabilities in:
Complex Thinking – capacity to consider broader context and systems thinking
Clear Communication – connecting ideas and making clear persuasive arguments
VUCA Skills – perspective coordination, collaborative capacity, and contextual thinking
For an investment of 3 hours each month, you will be a member of a small co-hort (maximum of 9 other aspiring leaders). You’ll be guided on a journey that explores your emerging development needs, develops insights through hands-on learning, and uses your every day work and decisions to consciously apply your learning and insights!
Session topics include:
